OTTOBRE 2026

Parlamento Europeo – Sala Spinelli 3H1, Bruxelles

L’evento sarà tradotto in 4 lingue: inglese; italiano; spagnolo; francese. E’ possibile registrarsi in presenza entro e non oltre l’8 ottobre, ore 18.00.

“From social recognition to social dialogue: shaping the future of domestic work in Europe”

Presentation of the 3rd and 4th Papers of the 2026 Report

European Parliament – Spinelli Room 3H1, Brussels

Domestic work is undergoing a period of profound transformation. In Italy, as in other European Union countries, the growing demand for care and demographic changes are progressively increasing its relevance, making it necessary to take a new look at the sector and its role in European societies.

Despite this growing centrality, however, a number of issues remain open: the social recognition of domestic work, its organisation and representation, and its ability to have a voice in social dialogue processes and in the development of care and employment policies.

It is from this perspective that Assindatcolf and EFFE – European Federation for Family Employment & Home Care – are promoting a discussion among representatives of institutions, employers’ and trade union organisations, and stakeholders from different European countries, to discuss the challenges and opportunities facing domestic work.

The event will be interpreted into four languages: English, Italian, Spanish and French. Registration for in-person attendance is possible until 6:00 p.m. on 8 October.
